Gumbo Filé

USES

Gumbo Filé is used widely in Creole cuisine, especially in making gumbo. Filé adds a distinct flavor and aroma with notes of eucalyptus and root beer. Made primarily of ground sassafras leaves, Gumbo Filé also acts as a thickening agent. Don't forget to grab some Cajun Blackening Seasoning (you'll thank us later)!
