Lunchtime Sandwich Recipes
Whether you’re working from home, watching kiddos, or snagging a seat at your office kitchenette, we know you don’t have a lot of time for lunch. But your mid-day meal shouldn’t be overlooked. We’ve compiled our top three ways to add big flavor to your favorite sandwiches.
No sauteing or julienning needed, Just your normal supermarket ingredients and a couple of great blends on hand. We’ve even included a kid-friendly recipe.
Maple Bourbon BLT
Time: 5 minutes prep, 30 minutes total
Difficulty level: Easy
Ingredients:
- 1/4 pound of bacon
- 2 tablespoons Spiceology Derek Wolf Maple Bourbon Bbq Rub
- 1 Roma tomato
- 2 pieces of lettuce
- mayo
- 2 slices bread
- Avocado and/or sprouts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- Lay your bacon on your sheet, making sure pieces don’t overlap. Season generously with Derek Wolf’s Maple Bourbon Rub.
- Place in oven, checking every 15 minutes. Flip when pieces reach your desired level of crispiness (usually around 18-20 minutes, depending on cut).
- Remove from oven, pat dry from grease, and set to the side.
- Grab your two pieces of bread and apply mayo. (For the flavor-ambitious, you can add some Maple Bourbon Rub or Honey Adobo to your mayo)
- Build BLT sandwich combining well.., the B, L, and T. Add sprouts or avocado if you’re looking for more veggies.
Savory Grilled Cheese with Apple
Time: 5 minutes prep, 10 minutes total
Difficulty level: Easy
Ingredients:
- 1 Apple of choice (we love Granny Smith)
- Spiceology Sasquatch Bbq Erubtion Rib Rub
- Sharp Cheddar Cheese shredded
- Two slices bread
- Mayo or butter for bread
Instructions:
- Heat up a skillet over medium.
- Thinly slice your apple into 1/4 inch thick slices.
- Slather slices of bread with mayo or butter. (For the flavor adventurous, mix your mayo with Erubption.)
- Add thin apple slices and shredded cheese to your bread. Add to pun and cook till outside is crispy and cheese is melted inside.
- Slice and enjoy!
S’mores Sammie
Time: 5 minutes
Difficulty level: Easy
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Marshmellow fluff
- 1 teaspoon Spiceology Smores Blend
- Peanut butter
- Two slices bread
Instructions:
- Lightly toast bread
- Mix marshmallow fluff with S’mores Blend.
- Slather S’mores-marshmellow mix on one piece of toasted bread and peanut butter on the other piece.
- Combine together and enjoy!
Pro tip- this sandwich works great melted over a fire too. Simply make your sandwich, wrap in tin foil, and let little ones toast it in a fire for a couple minutes.
