Homemade Greek Freak Romesco Sauce

  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 45 cloves garlic
  • Olive oil 
  • 1 can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup Marcona almonds 
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts 
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs 
  • 1 tablespoon Spiceology Greek Freak 
  • 1 tablespoon Spiceology Smoked Paprika 
  • 2 tablespoons Sherry or red wine vinegar


  1. Cut peppers in half and deseed and destem them – place the peppers hollow side down on a foil lined baking sheet.
  2. Add 4-5 cloves of garlic to sheet and healthy glug of olive oil. 
  3. Roast at 450 degrees until blistered, wrinkly and covered in black spots. 
  4. Let peppers cool and remove skins. 
  5. Add cooked peppers and garlic to a blender with fire roasted tomatoes, almonds, pine nuts, breadcrumbs, Greek Freak, Paprika, sherry vinegar and olive oil. 
  6. Blend until smooth or desired consistency. 
  7. Serve with roasted veggies (we went with a whole roasted cauliflower), fish or protein of choice and enjoy!
