Maui Wowee Pork Chive Dumplings

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 pound flour
  • 1 cup hot water

Filling:

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 8 ounces Napa cabbage
  • 2 ounces scallions
  • 4 tablespoons Spiceology Maui Wowee
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

Dough:

  1. Mix flour and water into a smooth dough. Rest for 30 minutes
  2. Divide into 0.5 ounce portions. 

Filling:

  1. Combine all filling ingredients and mix well. Taste by making a patty and sauteing for seasoning adjustment, if any. 

Dumpling Build:

  1. Roll out your dough portions into 1/8 inch thickness. 
  2. Place 1 tablespoon of filling on to dumpling skin and 5 fold crimp to close. 

Dumpling Cook:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  2. Drop in dumplings and cook for 5 minutes. 
  3. Serve immediately.
