Smoked Maple Bourbon Bacon & Sausage BBQ Beans

  • 3 cans Dark Red Kidney Beans (drained)
  • 1 lb Bacon (chunked)
  • 1 lb Smoked Sausage (thinly sliced)
  • 1 1/2 cups White Onion (medium dice)
  • 2 cups Cherry Tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp and 1 separate Tbsp Spiceology X Derek Wolf Maple Bourbon Blend
  • 1 Tbsp Blackstrap Molasses
  • 2 Tbsp Spicy Brown Mustard
  • 1 cup Brown sugar


  1. Preheat smoker to 250 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine bacon, sausage, and diced onion. Fold in 2 Tbsp of Spiceology Maple Bourbon blend.
  3. Add tomatoes to the bowl and gentle mix, taking care to not smash the tomatoes.
  4. Transfer mix to a large seasoned cast iron skillet.
  5. Smoke for 45 minutes stirring once.
  6. Add beans and remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  7. Increase heat on the smoker to 425 degrees and finish cooking for the remaining 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat, serve at the cookout. You will be invited to the next cookout.
