The OGB: Orange Gochugaru Bourbon Cocktail

  • 2 oz 100 Proof Bourbon (We used Old Grandad)
  • 2 oz Ginger Beer
  • 1/2 oz Mirin
  • 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
  • 1 tsp Orange Gochugaru Chile Reduction (2 Tbsp Spiceology Orange Gochugaru Chile + 1 cup water)


  1. In a small saucepan, combine Spiceology Orange Gochugaru Chile and water. Bring to a boil and reduce by half. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. In a cocktail mixing glass, fill half way with ice.
  3. Add bourbon, ginger beer, Orange Gochugaru reduction, and mirin. Stir for 30 seconds to blend and dilute.
  4. In your rocks glass, add one large ice cube.
  5. Strain cocktail over the ice cub.
  6. Add two dashes of chocolate bitters.
  7. Garnish with orange peel.
  8. Drank up.
