The tequila soleil is - dare we say - having a moment that we hope never ends.
Chef Christian gives this terribly drinkable cocktail a Spiceology spin with our Blackberry Balsamic blend that has that wonderful rich tang.

Ingredients
blank
- 1 Tbsp Spiceology Blackberry Balsamic blend
- 1 cup Sweet Red Vermouth
- 1 cup Port Wine
- 2/3 cup White Sugar
blank
- 1/2 oz Tequila (reposado)
- 1/2 oz Aperol
- 1/2 oz Blackberry Balsamic "Shrub"
- 6 oz Session IPA or Pale Ale
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine Blackberry Balsamic, Port Wine, white sugar, and Sweet Red Vermouth. Bring to a light simmer just to dissolve and combine ingredients.
- Transfer "shrub" into a mason jar or plastic tub with a tight seal and chill in the freezer to super cool quickly.
- In a high ball glass, layer tequila, Aperol, and your Blackberry Balsamic "shrub". Slowly pour 6oz of ice cold session IPA into the high ball glass.
Slowly fill glass the rest of the way to the top with ice and float a touch of Blackberry Balsamic "Shrub".
- Share this recipe with your friends so they can make their own while you sit in the sun and crush this one.
