Great homemade gift alert!

Spiceologist (and former pro baker) Eva shares her recipe for a homemade salted caramel sauce with 3 flavor options to choose from.  Whether you choose Apple Cinnamon, Pumpkin Spice or Smoky Honey Habanero - this amped up Salted Caramel Sauce makes a great homemade gift (but we won't blame you if you keep it for yourself...).

Eva's Salted Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup water

blank

  • Smoky Honey Habanero blend

  • Apple Cinnamon blend

  • Pumpkin Spice blend

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp Fleur de Sel

Directions

  1. Place the sugar, corn syrup and water into the saucepan. Use a pastry brush dipped in water to wash down the sides of the pan several times at the beginning. (This helps dissolve any sugar crystals that might have formed.)
  2. Heat until a golden amber color.
  3. Add butter, vanilla extract, Spiceology blend, and cream. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat, whisk in salt and let cool.
  5. Pour into jars and get ready to add this to everything.
