White chocolate melting into caramelized cornflake crunch, butter-rich dough barely holding it together, and a smoky honey heat that sneaks up late. These taste like dessert that knows it’s better than everything else on the table.

Smoky Honey Habanero Corn Flake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 box of 340g (12oz) cornflakes

  • ½ cup milk powder

  • 3 Tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 Tbsp Smoky Honey Habanero (plus more for finishing)

  • Butter, melted (from cookie butter below, divided as needed)

  • Cookie Dough
  • 225 g butter, room temperature

  • 250 g white sugar

  • 150 g brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • 5 g salt

  • 6 oz white chocolate, chopped or chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F.

  2. Crush cornflakes to about ¼ their original size—you want texture, not dust.

  3. In a large bowl, combine crushed cornflakes, milk powder, sugar, salt, and 2 Tbsp Smoky Honey Habanero.

  4. Add a light pour of melted butter (just enough to coat). Mix well.
  5. Spread evenly on a sheet tray and bake 20 minutes, stirring once halfway.

  6. Cool completely.
  7. Cream the Dough In a stand mixer, cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed 2–3 minutes.

  8. Add egg and vanilla. Increase speed and mix 7–8 minutes until pale, fluffy, and nearly doubled in volume.

  9. Scrape sides as needed.
  10. With mixer on low, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  11. Mix just until combined, about 45 seconds.

  12. Fold in chopped white chocolate and cooled cornflake crunch until evenly distributed.

  13. 5. Chill Portion dough into ~50 g balls.

  14. Refrigerate at least 1 hour (longer = better structure).

  15. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  16. Bake cookies 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and lightly golden but centers stay soft.

  17. Finish warm cookies with flaky salt and a light dusting of Smoky Honey Habanero.

Cookie Questions? Let’s Get Crumb-y.

Because dessert shouldn’t play it safe. The smoky honey heat adds a subtle sweet-spicy kick that balances the buttery dough, white chocolate, and crunchy cornflakes. It’s the flavor twist that makes people ask for the recipe.

The crushed cornflakes bake into the dough and create toasted, crispy pockets of texture. Combined with caramelized butter and sugar, they give the cookies their signature crunchy edges and soft centers.

Absolutely. Chill the dough balls in the fridge for better structure and flavor. You can even freeze them and bake later for fresh cookies on demand, future you will be very grateful.
