Author:Chef Ryan Wiebe
Ingredients
-
1 lb ground pork
-
1 lb ground chuck
-
2 tbsp Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero blend
-
Your favorite flatbread dough recipe or ready-made dough
-
1 small can of whole tomatoes, crushed
-
1/2 cup ricotta
-
1/4 cup flatleaf parsley
-
1 lemon
-
1/4 cup Parmesan
-
Olive oil, as needed
-
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 500°F or if you have a pizza oven heat to the same temperature or hotter. Place in a small cast iron pan to pre heat.
Mix together your pork and beef, season with 2 tbsp of Smoky Honey Habanero, and salt and pepper to taste. Make into small meatballs.
Place your meatballs onto your cast iron pan and cook on all sides, browning them until cooked almost through.
For the dough, place in either your pizza oven to cook or in a hot pan with some oil. Get some color on both sides and set aside.
If your dough puffs up, carefully slice it open and spread it open.
Add your tomatoes, meatballs and some Parmesan to your flatbread. Place back into your pizza oven or regular oven until everything is hot and bubbly.
To make your parsley lemon topping, simply chop your parsley, zest your lemon and juice half of it and grate your Parmesan into a bowl and mix.
Once your flatbread is out of the oven add your ricotta and parsley lemon mix, finish with olive oil and flaky salt and enjoy!
