Remember that bubbling corner piece you’d fight your sibling for? The foil lid that peeled back to reveal molten cheese and questionable life choices? Yeah—this is that… only grown up. Italian sausage and beef doing the tango under a smoked paprika marinara so rich it should charge rent. Tomatador didn’t just level up frozen lasagna—it set it on fire, poured a glass of red, and told it to take a seat at the adult table.

Ingredients
-
1 lb ground Italian sausage
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 large white onion small diced
-
8 cloves fresh garlic, minced
-
3 tbsp Spiceology Tomatador
-
2 qt marinara (we love Yo Mama’s for this recipe)
-
2 boxes lasagna noodles, par-cooked and cooled
-
1 tbsp kosher salt
-
⅓ cup fresh Italian parsley, roughly chopped
-
3 packs Tillamook shredded mozzarella
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp neutral oil over medium-high until shimmering.
Add onions and garlic, sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant and translucent. Season with 2 tsp Tomatador as you cook.
Add ground beef and sausage, cooking until browned through. Stir in 1 tbsp Tomatador, then drain excess fat and return meat to skillet.
Pour in marinara, bring to a light boil, then reduce to low and simmer.
In a deep casserole dish, layer meat sauce, mozzarella, and lasagna noodles, repeating until the dish is full.
Finish with a generous top layer of mozzarella.
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
Remove foil, broil on high until cheese is browned and bubbling.
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with parsley and serve.
