Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp Spiceology Chinese 5 Spice Powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 3.4 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 egg
-
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

3 Tbsp water
-
1/4 tsp almond extract
-
1/2 cup sliced almonds (toasted)
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine flour, Spiceology Chinses 5 Spice Powder, baking soda and dry pudding mix.
In a separate bowl, beat butter and brown sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in egg.
Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Scoop cookies onto baking sheet.
Bake 11 minutes or until barely golden brown.
Let cool on wire rack.
Mix powdered sugar, water and almond extract and ice the cookies.
Sprinkle with toasted almonds ( before icing can set or they wont stick).
