Fully Flocked is a maple and orange poultry rub with a complex flavor profile that includes warming spices, smoky paprika, and a hint of cayenne pepper, balanced by the richness of brownulated sugar and maple sugar.
Made in collaboration with Meateater - this blend pairs pretty much with any poultry, and Chef Ryan shows you how to butterfly these turkey drumsticks, watch the recipe video below!

Ingredients
-
2 Turkey Drumsticks (or as many as you need)
-
1 1/2 Tbsp Spiceology X Meateater Fully Flocked seasoning per drumstick
-
Olive oil, as needed
-
Your favorite BBQ sauce, as needed
Directions
Pre heat your grill to medium heat (350°F).
Take a knife and cut down the center of the bone, then slowly slice the meat away from the bone, about halfway through (butterflying) being careful not to cut all the way through. There are some small bones and tendons that I cut out of the drumstick.
Once your drumsticks are fully butterflied, coat with olive oil and Fully Flocked seasoning.
Place on your grill, skin side down first, grilled for about 6-8 minutes or until nice color and grill marks are visible. Flip and grill from another 6-8 minutes. Now coat with your BBQ sauce and some more of the Fully Flocked seasoning.
Move to the top rack of your grill or to an indirect side of your grill and finish cooking until an internal temperature of 165°F (70°C) is reached.
Slice and serve with your favorite salad this summer.
