Harissa Pickled Red Onions

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Spiceology Harissa Seasoning

  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced

  • ¾ cup red wine vinegar

  • ¾ cup water

  • 1½ Tbsp sugar

  • 1½ tsp kosher salt

Directions

  1. Place sliced red onions in a heatproof jar or bowl.

  2. In a small saucepan, combine red wine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and harissa seasoning.

  3. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar and salt dissolve.

  4. Carefully pour hot brine over onions until fully submerged.

  5. Let cool at room temperature for 15–20 minutes, then cover and refrigerate.
