Nachos are one of those perfect snacks that you could make into a whole meal. Chef Ryan throws together these loaded nachos with Smoky Honey Habanero-seasoned chorizo, plus fresh ingredients like lettuce, cilantro and more. "If you don't have chorizo, a quick hack is to grab a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, shred the chicken and add in your Smoky Honey Habanero as your protein." Author: Chef Ryan WiebeIngredients
-
2 tablespoons Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero blend
- 2 cups, shredded cheese
- 2 lbs of chorizo or chicken
- 1 cup thinly shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- Half 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- Sour cream
- Cotija cheese, optional
- Cilantro
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Prepare all of your ingredients. Thinly shred iceberg, dice tomato, slice red onion, and grate your cheese.
I use Chorizo here and add in 2 tablespoons of Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero seasoning while cooking.
- Now assemble, I like to add a bit of the cheese on top of the chips then add my protein followed by the rest of my cheese.
- Bake until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
- Once out of the oven add your fresh toppings and enjoy! These are a great option if you love nachos, but want something a bit fresher.
