This isn't your average cheese dip. Infused with sweet heat from Spiceology’s Smoky Honey Habanero Blend, this queso brings bold flavor with a slow burn that plays nice with creamy cheddar, Monterey Jack, and a swirl of cream cheese. Spiked with jalapeños, tomatoes, and just the right kick of garlic, it’s made for nachos, tacos, fries—or unapologetically straight from the spoon.

Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
½ cup yellow onion, finely diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
1 cup whole milk
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup RO-TEL diced tomatoes and green chiles
-
2 tablespoons pickled jalapenos, chopped
-
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
-
1 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded
-
2 oz cream cheese
-
2 tablespoons Smoky Honey Habanero Seasoning
-
Kosher salt, to taste
-
1 tablespoon Sodium Citrate
-
Cilantro, chopped
Directions
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and sauté until translucent (3–4 minutes). Stir in diced tomatoes with green chiles and jalapeños. Add in garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth. Add Sodium Citrate. Continue to whisk until mixture thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
Stir in Smoky Honey Habanero Blend.
Lower heat to medium-low. Add cheeses gradually, stirring constantly until melted and smooth (Avoid boiling to prevent curdling).
Adjust seasoning with salt or more Smoky Honey Habanero to taste.
Garnish with chopped cilantro (if desired). Serve warm with tortilla chips, over nachos, tacos, or skillet fries.
