Who says you have to make sangria with red wine? We're putting one of our favorite blends - Spiceology Chinese Five Spice - to work with this tasty take on a classic. Cheers!

4 oz Spiceology Chinese Five Spice Simple Syrup

2 Spiceology Ceylon Cinnamon Sticks

5 Spiceology Star Anise
- 750 ml Pinot Grigio
- 4 oz White Rum/Brandy

½ orange, sliced

½ apple, sliced

2 tablespoons Spiceology Chinese Five Spice blend

8 oz granulated sugar

8 oz water

Directions
Chinese Five Spice Simple Syrup:
- In a pot, add all ingredients.
- Bring to a boil for 1 minute and stir until sugar and powder dissolve.
Reduce heat to low for 5 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Store in airtight jar, refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Cocktail:
- In a pitcher, add all ingredients. Stir and pour over ice in a wine glass
- Garnish: Star Anise, Cinnamon Ceylon
