Turn your next gathering into an instant party with this Tomatador Cheese Fondue, an ooey, gooey, Spanish-inspired twist on the classic. Loaded with Gruyère, Swiss, and a splash of wine (okay, maybe more than a splash), this dip becomes next-level thanks to Tomatador’s smoky paprika, rich tomato, and warm Mediterranean spices. It’s comfort food meets “newstalgia” in the best way.

Perfect for holidays, game days, or cozy nights in, this fondue transforms simple dippers like bread, fruit, and potatoes into cheesy little flavor bombs. It’s ridiculously easy, crowd-pleasing, and absolutely built for sharing… just maybe skip the jerky. Or don’t- we won’t judge.

Tomatador Cheese Fondue

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Tomatador Seasoning

  • 16oz gruyere cheese (shredded)

  • 16 oz swiss cheese (grated)

  • 2 cups white wine

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

  1. In a medium nonstick sauce pot, combine cornstarch, grated swiss, and Gruyere cheese.

  2. Turn on the heat to medium and add white wine.

  3. Fold continuously to melt the cheese and cook for 5-8 minutes.

  4. Add Spiceology Tomatador blend. Continue to fold and stir gently until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Approximately 10-12 minutes. Do not over-stir.

  5. Once smooth, creamy, and hot, transfer to a fondue pot with warming candle or an electric fondue kettle.

  6. Serve immediately with crackers, bread, fruit, boiled redskin potatoes, and beef jerky.... maybe not the jerky.

FAQs: Tomatador Cheese Fondue

Yes! While Gruyere and Swiss melt beautifully, you can mix in cheeses like fontina, white cheddar, or Emmental for different flavor and texture. Just make sure they’re good melting cheeses to keep that smooth, velvety finish.

Tomatador brings rich tomato flavor, smoky paprika, and savory Mediterranean spices that take classic fondue from simple to seriously unforgettable. It adds depth, warmth, and a subtle smokiness that pairs perfectly with cheese.

This fondue is perfect with crusty bread, crackers, boiled potatoes, apples, grapes, roasted veggies, and cured meats. Anything that dips well and can handle that creamy, smoky cheese sauce is fair game.
