Curry Madras Inspiration
What Is Curry Madras?
Curry Madras is an Indian curry originating out of the Chennai region. It differs in its composition due to its spice level. This curry blend is spicier due to the fact that chilis are blended within the blend, offering a higher heat level than your average curry. Our authentic blend of warm spices includes coriander, fenugreek, cumin, fennel, allspice, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, clove, and turmeric.
How Madras Curry Powder Can Be Used
Madras Curry is typically served with a side of Raita, which is a vegetable/yogurt sauce and coriander. You can add any type of meat, including seafood, to this curry and the best way to serve it is over rice. This popular blend can also be used in rubs, dressings, marinades and even as a way to season during your cooking.

The Flavor Behind Madras Curry
What makes Madras Curry so popular is the spice blend and the heat level. The warming spices in the blend add a depth of flavor that helps awaken the palate, especially the cardamom and ginger. It also offers a unique aroma when cooking with this powder. The addition of turmeric in our blend offers a yellow hue when used and a pleasant looking dish when served.
