Chef Ryan shows you just how easy it is to make hummus from scratch and amps up the flavor with some help from our Black & Bleu hot sauce.
Packed with fermented cayenne pepper, paprika, apple cider vinegar, garlic and real bleu cheese and Cajun seasonings, courtesy ofour OG Black & Bleu blend, this small batch craft sauce is a must for hot sauce lovers everywhere.
Homemade Black & Bleu Hot Sauce Hummus

Ingredients
- 1 medium can of chickpeas
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbsp Spiceology Black & Bleu Hot Sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
- 1/4–1/3 cup of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita chips for serving
- Optional, blue cheese for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor or a handheld blender add your drained chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, Black & Bleu Hot sauce, garlic and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Blend until you get your preferred consistency.
- Plate your hummus and finish it with more olive oil, paprika or Black & Bleu seasoning and blue cheese. Enjoy with some pita chips!
Notes
Tip: don’t add all of your olive oil at once – add as needed because you don’t want the hummus to get too loose.
