Nashville Hot Cracklings

If you’re a fan – you’re a big fan. Because there’s nothing quite like the crispy, crunchy, salty, savory deliciousness that it perfectly done chicken skin cracklings.

Our chefs took this classic snacky appetizer to a next level by adding Spiceology Nashville Hot. Not familiar with our Nashville Hot signature blend? Its slightly sweet with a spicy kick that features Chili Powder, Paprika, Garlic, Onion, Cayenne Pepper, Smoked Paprika and more.

Nashville Hot Cracklings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 chicken thigh skins
  • 1 quart peanut oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Spiceology Nashville Hot Blend
  • Pickled jalapenos, garnish
  • Honey, garnish
  • Cilantro, garnish

Instructions

  1. Get Oil/Fryer to 375-400 degrees.
  2. In 2 separate bowls place flour in one and eggs in another.
  3. Stir the eggs to scramble yolk.
  4. Place about a .5 C of the Spiceology Nashville Hot blend and mix into flour.
  5. Take skins and dredge with seasoned flour, then into egg mixture, and back into the flour.
  6. Drop dredged skins into a fryer until crispy and golden brown.
  7. Chop fried skins into tortilla chip size pieces and put in a mixing bowl.
  8. Toss with remaining Spiceology Nashville Hot Blend.
  9. Plate and garnish with remaining ingredients.
