Pickles are on the easiest things you can make. Chop up a veg, pour over a mixture of vinegar, sugar and spice and BOOM you’ve got pickles. For this recipe we kicked up the liquid with Chef Jet Tila’s Sour Power Kimchi-Inspired blend. It’s a delicious mixture of chiles, spices and citrus. This blend is not only a great add to pickles, but would make a killer Kimchi Rice or rub it on a chicken before grilling. The possibilities are endlessly delicious.
- 2 cucumbers, cut into rounds
- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons Chef Jet Tila’s Sour Power blend
- Add the rice vinegar, sugar and spice to a small saucepan and heat stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly and pour over the cucumbers. Allow to rest in the fridge until you are ready to eat.
