Maui Wowee Sweet and Sour Meatballs

A delicious sticky sweet meatball recipe for the ages.

Ingredients

2lbs Meatballs 1oz

1/8 cup Spiceology's Maui Wowee
-
¼ cup Fig Jam or Fig Butter
-
1/8 cup Oyster Sauce
-
1/8 cup Black or Dark Soy Sauce
-
1/8 cup Sriracha
-
1/2 cup Rice Vinegar
-
1/3 cup Light Brown Sugar

1 cup Beef Stock
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients sans meatballs and whisk to blend thoroughly.
In a large dutch oven or medium stock pot, heat 2 tbsp of neutral over medium high heat.
Add 2lbs of meatballs (frozen) and sautee for 5 minutes, agitating the pan often.
Add 1 cup of beef stock to deglaze. Add sweet and sour sauce. Fold into the meatballs and coat well.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Place into warm crockpot or serve immediately.
Recipe Note
You can also make these in a crockpot at 4 hours on high. No matter how you get there, the finished product is sweet, sticky, sour, and ready for the masses.
