New to our Orange Gochugaru Chile blend? When Gochugaru chile flakes are combined with the citrusy sweetness of real orange powder, the result is amplified fruit notes alongside a flavorful heat - aka deliciousness.
Orange Gochugaru Chile Marmalade Ham Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Cottage Ham (pre-sliced)
  • 8 slices Provolone
  • 1 pack King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 4 Blood Oranges
  • 2 Tbsp Spiceology Orange Gochugaru Chile blend
  • 1 qt Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 2 Tbsp White and Black Sesame Seeds

Directions

  1. Chop all four Blood Oranges into pieces and put in a blender to blend to a pulp with the rinds.
  2. In a medium sauce pot, combine pulp, 1 cup of water, 4 cups of sugar, and 2 tbsp of Spiceology Orange Gochugaru Chile blend.
  3. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. To check viscosity, freeze a plate or miniature sheet pan and place a spoon full on the sheet. Drag a spoon through it, if it takes 1 second to come back together then it is done.
  5. Brush a cooking sheet with melted butter.
  6. Horizontally slice the rolls in half, leaving the tops and bottoms together.
  7. Place the bottom layer on a cookie sheet and put a layer of marmalade on the rolls.
  8. Layer the ham then the cheese and place under the broiler until golden brown.
  9. Pull from oven, turn the broiler to low, and place the top bun sheet on. Brush with remaining melted butter.
  10. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top buns and return to the broiler on the lowest rack for two minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and cut up, eat up, share if you want.
