Flavor Hog Pork Sandwich Recipe

FLAVOR HOG PORK SANDWICH // FISH FOOD

Bacon Jam

Ingredients: 

  • 1 pound bacon, diced
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup Chad White’s Flavor Hog Blend
  • salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Dice and render bacon in a sauce pot over medium heat until fat is liquid and bacon is crispy, about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Strain bacon and return some fat to the pot.
  3. Add onions into the pot and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 1 more minute stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cook until reduced to a lightly thick consistency. The jam will thicken when it cools.

Beer Mustard

Ingredients: 

  • ½ cup mustard seeds
  • ½ cup beer, light
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a pot and bring to a simmer.
  2. Cook until reduced and mustard seeds are expanded.
  3. Cool and store for use.
