We top Smoky Honey Habanero-seasoned mashed sweet potatoes with cubed sourdough, gruyere, pecans, and lots of Smoky Honey Habanero butter – but feel free to customize this topping mix with whatever you like.
Smoky Honey Habanero Savory Sweet Potato Casserole

Ingredients
- 5 cups mashed sweet potatoes (we used store bought from Sprouts)
- 1/2 cup unsalted melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, roughly chopped
- 2 cups sourdough loaf, 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
- 4 tablespoons, divided Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero
- Lemon zest, for garnish
- Parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- In a large bowl, mix together mashed sweet potatoes and 2 tablespoons Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero. Set aside.
- Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter and then mix in 1 tablespoon Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero.
- In another large bowl, mix together bread cubes, shredded cheese, chopped pecans, and melted butter mixture and toss until evenly coated. Shake in more Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero, if desired.
- Evenly spread mashed sweet potatoes into lightly greased 3 quart Pyrex dish.
- Evenly top with bread topping mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bread cubes are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Top with lemon zest and parsley for garnish.
- Serve immediately.
